It’s the perfect combination – a blind dating show and a musical show all in one.
In each episode of Sing! In the Name of Love, three male and three female singles with a shared passion for singing will sing a love duet together on their very first blind date. Each single sings three duets. They select the songs themselves, and each song choice has a personal story. Prior to the show, the singles prepare the songs together with a professional coach. During rehearsals, we see the singles react to each other’s musical choices. After all the preparations are done, it’s time to perform on stage. Both singles start singing the duet, but they won’t be able to see each other for the first time until they’re halfway through the song. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, they’ll also have to dance together. From backstage, their friends and family are watching and commenting on their every move. Will we see romantic sparks fly, or is the blind date a total dud?
