Talpa’s marbles keep on rolling in Germany

January 26, 2023 Talpa’s fun family hit show Marble Mania continues its international success in Germany.

Talpa’s fun family hit show Marble Mania continues its international success in Germany. The first two episodes of its third season on RTL kicked off with an average market share of an impressive 14.4% in the 14-49 key demo, outperforming the channel average by 20%, despite some heavy competition. These numbers prove that the German viewers are just as captivated by the spectacular marble races as they were during the first two seasons.

On each self-contained episode of Murmel Mania, as the show is called in Germany, three celebrities take each other on with their own colored marbles in front of a live studio audience. Each round starts with a skill assignment, where they must prove their marble racing skills and influence each other’s success. The better they play, the more marbles they get at the start of the second game of the round: the game of luck, where it’s all about speed, gravity…. and fate. But this time, each contestant gets to use one so-called ‘game changer’ to obstruct their opponents. The celebrity whose marble crosses the finish line first earns the most points. After three rounds, whoever’s at the top of the ranking will get the most marbles to start in the finale, in which money will be won for the charity of their choice. With an impressive six-meter-high marble run, the finale is the most exciting and nerve-wracking round of them all.

In the Netherlands, the third season will start on March 18 on SBS6.
